"A hard-hitting documentary that follows the story of the forgotten Braceros—exploited, erased, and the buried history of how their heroic hard work built America and the scandal that still shapes the immigration crisis we face today."

DO YOU KNOW A BRACERO?
If YOU, or anyone YOU KNOW is related to or is a Bracero, please contact us. We are desperately looking for those alive today who were a part of the Bracero Program.
This program was in effect between the early 1940s and mid 1960s, so anyone in your family or friend’s family who are members of this generation, we are VERY INTERESTED IN SPEAKING WITH YOU.
Please send us an email, and we will get in touch with you!

OUR MISSION
For more than twenty years, countless Mexican workers made their way into the United States through the Bracero Program, a government-approved initiative that promised opportunity yet resulted in hardship, exploitation, and deep-seated betrayal.
These individuals—the backbone of America’s agricultural and railroad sectors—labored tirelessly under harsh conditions, supporting the nation's economy while enduring nearly inhumane living situations. Their contributions were significant, yet their narratives have been erased, and their sacrifices buried under years of political expediency and historical oversight. Time is of the essence. The last remaining Braceros are disappearing, and with them, the truth of one of America's most significant labor scandals risks fading into oblivion.
"Bracero: America’s Greatest Con" is not merely a documentary—it serves as a rallying cry. Through an intensely personal exploration, filmmaker Julian Bonfiglio endeavors to unveil the untold narratives of these overlooked workers, tracing the path of their legacy to disclose the enduring influence of the Bracero Program on immigration laws, labor rights, and the socio-political dynamics between Mexico and the United States today. As we seek out the final surviving Braceros and their descendants, we reveal the stark and painful reality: the rise of exploitation, the unchecked authority of corporations and governments, and the systemic injustices that continue to shape the immigrant experience. Utilizing rare archival footage, personal interviews, and compelling investigative storytelling, we illuminate a hidden history that still resonates in our present.
This is a race against the clock. We need your assistance in locating these lost voices, documenting their truths, and ensuring their stories remain alive. Join us in this vital mission—because history endures only if we strive to safeguard it.
